Koda and Nori's New Groove
Koda and Nori's New Groove (working title: The Penguin and Me) is a 2006 Japanese-Canadian animated action-comedy film and based upon the video game of the same name. It was produced by Rockstar Games. The film was released by Paramount Home Entertainment and Coca-Cola on DVD on the same days as The Emperor's Secret (Keisarin salaisuus), on 8 September 2006 in Tokyo, Japan, and on 9 February 2007 in Toronto, Canada. It is the first Paramount film to be animated by Mook Animation, Tatsunoko Production, Cookie Jar Group, and Nelvana. And it marks the first Paramount animation project produced after the animation style of the Scooby-Doo direct-to-video animated films: The Witch's Ghost and The Cyber Chase that inspired Asterix and the Vikings along with The Emperor's Secret.
The film marks all-new voice actors, Scott Innes, Andrew Sabiston, Julie Lemieux, and Lee Tockar provided the voices of Koda, Nori, Nita, and Max. And it shows the new characters with Koda, Nori, Nita, and Max who were based on Shaggy Rogers from the Scooby-Doo direct-to-video animated films: The Witch's Ghost and The Cyber Chase along with Asterix from the titular hero of the French comic book series, Pingu along with Yoshi from the Super Mario World television series, Barbara Gordon/Batgirl from Batman: The Animated Series along with the same color of Raven's hair and skin from Teen Titans and Belle's yellow dress and gloves from Beauty and the Beast, and Ace the Bat-Hound from Batman Beyond along with Doogal from The Magic Roundabout.
It was released on YouTube, DVD, and Blu-ray on the same day as Monsters University as a double-feature on DVD alongside the Paramount and Nintendo's 2006 film, Finding Denno.
